Thomas Tan brings a broad range of skills and experience to Euro Pacific Capital. Thomas has focused on the precious metals and mining sectors since 2004, becoming, at the time, a popular independent blogger, writer and contributor for many financial and precious metal websites. Thomas had gained particular notoriety on “Seeking Alpha” for his 2007 prediction of the collapse of the banking industry and crisis in the OTC credit default swap market. Some of Thomas' articles were published by CFA Institute and treated as Headline News and Editor's Picks by Seeking Alpha. Before joining Euro Pacific, Thomas worked in various corporate finance positions with Pfizer in the financial planning and analysis area. Prior to that, he worked for the Capital Markets Group at Cargill where he was responsible for structuring a 144A private placement of $100 million secured debt in the US for a Chinese land development GOE.
Mr. Tan holds an MBA in Finance from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and has held the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation since 2004. He holds FINRA 7, 24, 63, 86 and 87 registrations.
