Research Team Jay Srivatsa Director of Research Jay has been involved in the technology industry for 17 years. Most recently he was responsible for building the semiconductor franchise at Roth Capital Partners, initiating coverage on more than 20 companies. In his role as Senior Analyst at Roth, Jay travelled extensively in Asia as his coverage list included five Chinese companies. Before joining Roth Capital, Jay covered Semiconductors and Storage stocks at Pacific Growth Equities in San Francisco. Prior to that he spent five years in market research, first at Gartner Inc and then at iSuppli Corporation. Jay also worked for 7 years with LSI Logic Corp. as a Marketing Manager. Jay holds MS in Management from Stanford University, MBA from Santa Clara University and MS in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Before joining Euro Pacific Capital, Mr. Sharon was last employed as Head of Global Research Product Development at ABN-AMRO, after completing four years as Manager of European Research at Merrill Lynch. Prior to that he was the Chief Investment Officer of American Express Bank International, after first spending fifteen years with Drexel Burnham, where he served as Director of International Research. While at Drexel his primary area of focus was non-U.S. equities and precious metals. Mr. Sharon is a graduate on the London School of Economics, and has served as President of the New York Association of Foreign Analysts. He was a frequent guest on Louis Rukeyser’s Wall Street Week, is married with three grown children, and currently resides in New York. David Kratochvil Research Analyst David Kratochvil has over fifteen years of investment experience ranging from developed and emerging market equity, fixed income, and currency investing to commodity and venture capital investing. Prior to joining Euro Pacific Capital, Mr. Kratochvil ran his own advisory firm where he provided investment banking services and consulted on various investment projects. Previously he was an international portfolio manager at Omega Advisors where he invested in international equities, emerging market debt, currencies, and commodities. Prior to joining Omega, he was a Director at Merrill Lynch Asset Management in London where he was responsible for emerging market investing. Mr. Kratochvil has also worked as an equity analyst covering basic materials and industrial stocks, as a venture capitalist in Eastern Europe, and as a tax consultant advising on numerous M&A, real estate, and oil and gas transactions. Mr. Kratochvil holds an MBA in finance and international business from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Liang Hsu Research Analyst Liang has 10 years of professional experience in investment management/capital markets. She has intensive knowledge in trading and fundamental research across sectors and regions. Liang started her career with Citigroup Asset Management, gaining a solid foundation for Equity Research and portfolio management. Before joining Euro Pacific she was a senior analyst at RBC Capital Markets on the Global Arbitrage Proprietary Trading Desk, conducting research across sectors to help manage a fairly large Equity Long/Short portfolio as well as an event-driven book. Prior to RBC, she co-managed a Long/Short Equity portfolio at Millennium Partners, a prestigious hedge fund based in New York. Liang is a CFA Charterholder and earned her MBA and MS from Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, New York. She earned her B.A. in Business Mathematics from Soochow University, Taiwan. |
